As COVID-19 and its variants continue to impact our communities, we recognize the need to remain vigilant with our COVID safety standards to keep our members safe and our locations open. We encourage everyone who is eligible to get vaccinated and take a booster shot. Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas continues to work with safety experts and comply with local, regional and state requirements when serving our Club members.
We have encouraged all our staff to be vaccinated or submit to weekly testing.
As we have put the health and safety of our members, staff, and volunteers as a top priority, we require masks at all BGCD Clubs and sites.
Temperature checks are also required before entering all locations and we will continue to maintain our capacity limits in order to practice proper social distancing. Our vigorous area sanitation routine remains at all sites and play areas.
Self-monitoring is a large part of our COVID safety protocol, and we encourage our members and partners to demonstrate the same best practices. Please stay at home if you are not feeling well or you are showing any symptoms of sickness.
Symptoms may include but are not limited to:
- Fever 100.0 or higher; AND,
- Cough
- Sneezing
- Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing
- Chills
- Muscle Pain
- Scratchy or Sore throat
- New loss of taste and/or smell
- Headaches
- Known contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID.
Please also stay home if you are not showing symptoms of COVID but have produced a positive COVID test result in order to not spread the infection to others.
