Since 2006, Charles English has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. Prior to becoming President, Charles served as the Secretary and Executive Board Member for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas Board of Directors for three years. Charles received his undergraduate degree in Biology/Chemistry from the University of North Texas and MBA in Finance from the University of Dallas.
Charles has over 30 years of experience in banking and finance, with his last position as a Commercial Lender at Compass Bank in Highland Park. He has devoted over 25 years to community service, with a history of volunteering his financial management expertise and leadership skills to improving program delivery to a number of nonprofits, including: Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce; Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Clinic; American Cancer Society; St. Philips School Endowment Foundation; Community Credit Union; and church ministries.
Laura J. Brown joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas in October, 2016, as the Vice President of Advancement. She has worked in not-for-profit fundraising over the past 14 years, most recently as the senior gift development officer for The Dallas Foundation, Texas’s oldest community foundation. Prior to that Laura created and led the major gifts and capacity-building campaign for Dallas Black Dance Theatre. She has also worked with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Camp Fire USA Lone Star Council.
In her role at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas, Laura will build the organization’s capacity through major and planned gifts to provide sustainable funding for program growth and expansion.
Laura received her Bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Texas Christian University and MBA from the University of Dallas with an emphasis in not-for-profit management. She is passionate about youth development and the Boys & Girls Clubs holistic approach that impacts the mind, body and soul of the child. In her free time, she is an avid runner, Camp Gladiator member, wife, mother to two young children and a foster parent.
Since 1987, Craig Price has served as the Vice President of Finance & Information Technology of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas. Prior to becoming Vice President, Craig was the Accounting/Office Manager for Talley Investment Company, Dallas, specializing in residential apartment management. Craig received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Finance from Texas Tech University.
Craig has over 30 years of experience in accounting, finance and office management. He is responsible for accounting, personnel, payroll, business operations and information technology. He has devoted most of his career to supporting youth at the Boys & Girls Club and believes in the role adults play in the lives of our youth. He volunteers with his church youth program and supports church youth mission work locally and in Globe, Arizona and Puerto Penasco, Mexico, building homes for local residents in need. He is an active member of First United Methodist Church Rowlett, has chaired several committees and has been active in the building campaign to build a new youth building to support youth programs.
