Lemonade day stand 2015BGCD members joined Lemonade Day again this year for lessons in entrepreneurial success. Participants in the program completed a business plan “pitch” for their lemonade stand. All participants had the opportunity to practice their public speaking and networking skills and received a cash loan to start their business.

The Williams Prep Boys & Girls Club raised close to $500 thanks to an amazing location outside of the Maple Ave. Kroger and the kids’ “XOTEC” Mango-Berry lemonade recipe. The funds raised will be used for the Club’s Keystone Club annual trip.

President & CEO Charles English served as a judge to crown the “Best Tasting” champions.

Lemonade Day is a free, fun, experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business – a lemonade stand. Launched in Houston, Texas in 2007, Lemonade Day has grown from 2,700 kids in one city to 225,000 kids in nearly 36 cities across America and Canada.
